Rob Horne

Rob will be the first to tell you that the majority of his most significant lessons in his life, have come as a result of working with horses.

Rob is one of Sydney’s most respected horsemen with over 40 years experience in horse breaking, training, solving problems, judging and instruction. Rob is known for his ability to fix problem horses, in particular those horses being sent to him as a last resort. He has also worked with horses for many of the racing industry's leading trainers. The majority of his clients he has worked with for over 20 years.

Rob is more of a horse psychologist than a traditional trainer, approaching every task from the horse’s point of view as he looks for the buttons that motivates the horse to perform for him, rather than using force to dictate the horse’s response.

Rob is a gentle and quiet horse trainer. Most that have seen him work with animals find the experience humbling. His natural sensibility and perspective on life is illuminating for those of us who live fast paced and complex lives. Spending a day with him helps you find the time to breathe and look at things from a different perspective.

Rob is very different to any trainer you would have experienced in traditional management courses.
